Our Story
Creating the trip of a lifetime, just for you.
After a 10 year career working in the hunting and fishing industry it was time to continue guiding work but under a business model that supported the owners notion of service, care, and conservation. We are aggressive to provide you with the best opportunities for highly respectable harvests and pristine wilds while approaching our resources mindfully and treating you as both a customer and a friend.
We are a small operation; Bogg Outfitters restricts the number of hunting opportunities by both species and volume of hunters. We have found that this operational volume maximizes our clients experiences and supports our crew in continuing to provide exceptional service.
Commitment to care and to service. Professional, qualified and successful.
Our Crew
Bogg Outfitters is comprised of hard-working, passionate and talented individuals. Every member of the team contributes to the overall success of Bogg and its clients. We have the best guides, pilots, captains and support staff and that title has not been assigned based solely on experience, service and skill but on integrity and quality of person.
Bogg is committed to supporting the communities we operate in. In addition to our involvement with our communities we maintain close relations with the University of Alaska Fairbanks and the Fairbanks flight training school Proflite of Alaska to provide educational opportunities for interested young people. While we do not often have full-time positions open we do provide apprenticeship programs and packer opportunities.
Apprenticeship Program
Bogg Outfitters wants to provide young, interested, and hard-working individuals with the opportunity to experience the life of various outdoor professions. We offer the opportunity to assist a guide, captain, or pilot for a period of time throughout our working season. You will have the opportunity to see the challenges and joys of working under these professions as well as become familiar with the ins-and-outs of the business.
Packers Program
Generally in Alaska, individuals will work as a packer for a few seasons in an effort to get an outfitter endorsement for their assistant big-game guide license. Packers have the responsibility of assisting the guide on all aspects of a guided hunt as well as in physically “packing” the harvested animal to a designated location. Packer positions receive minimal compensation but significant experience.
